Amazed

Eating dinner tonight with Max, Louisa and Alec - while the rest were at the Stake Christmas Carol night - Max was giving me cheek and I made an absurd threat- something about cutting his fingers off with a butchers knife if he used them to eat his food again. Max claimed I wouldn't be able to catch him. To prove his point he challenged me to a race. I said I wouldn't do it because I didn't want him to be humiliated when he lost.

He said: "Mum, I wouldn't be - I would be amazed!"
