Tonight we will start reading A Christmas Carol - because it's Christmas - but mainly because Susie brought back from her England/Europe trip a gorgeous print of a painting that is hanging in Charles Dickens's house. The print is now framed and hanging in our house. The painting is called Dickens's Dream and is unfinished because the artist died midway through the painting. I think it may even be better unfinished.
The painting has Dickens asleep with characters from his books filling his dream. We are going to read A Christmas Carol and look for the characters.
