Glad to be Max

For the last couple of Mondays - and for the next 6 or so - we have been babysitting Garrett between 7.30 and 8.30 am while his mum, Nicole, and brother,Asher, go to a course together.

Garrett is a Downs baby and is incredibly cuddly - he also has a mean throwing arm - he can pick anything up and hurl it across the room. Louisa adores him and gets cuddles all the time. Max plays and Peet supervises.

This morning when we left, Max got in the car and said 'I am so glad to be me'. When I asked him what he meant he said that he is glad because of 'the things our family gets to do - like babysitting Garrett'. He's right - we are lucky.

We also had a EFY CD still playing in the car from Sunday and Louisa said that she thinks it is a good thing to play before school. There was a particular song on repeat which she said made her think of all the good things she could do that day and want to do them.
