In September Lee is taking Alec and Mitchell and driving to Ayres Rock while Wayne, Donald, Alister and Campbell ride motorbikes there (Lindsay will go if he can).

Lee remembered the last time he drove across Australia - first with me as a baby in a ute with just barely enough money to buy petrol for the trip and then coming back from Perth with two little kids (me & Sam) and two extra teenagers in a station wagon with all their wordily possessions tied to the roof. The roof racks broke from being constantly hammered by bad roads and after it slid down the front of the car they propped it up with mattresses to hold it in place.
