Jesse has just completed an Ancient History assignment - 15 minute oral multi media presentation on how the Sumerian religion paved the way for the Hebrews and the Greeks - and she chose the topic! This means that for the last two weeks Jesse has been a bundle of nerves, prone to take the worst possible meaning from anything, snappy, tired and anxious -as well as busy, busy, busy. She was supposed to present 5th in her class but the first four people didn't show which pushed her up to first. Her teacher announced that Jesse should get extra kudos for having the 'b---s' to go first. Jesse was right about to present but took time to reprimand him in front of the class for using bad language - he apologised. Ben, Jesse's friend turned to Nathan and said 'Jesse's in history assignment mode.' The presentation went 'ok' according to Jesse - but must have actually gone well since her teacher said that it would be good to use Jesse's presentation as a prototype. She doesn't have a mark yet.
Tonight however, Jesse is back - charming, funny, easy to joke with, helpful, reading to the little kids, helping with dinner and so on. Sadly Hyde will be back tomorrow. Before we leave for Clermont in about 10 days time she has two maths tests, a Philosophy test, half an English assignment, and a Legal Studies assignment due. We will all just have to remember that the real Jesse will be back for the holiday.
